Lvkang MS Polymer is one-component adhesive special for wood flooring installation.
We recommend that wherever possible you glue your wood floor directly to your subfloor. The method for using wood flooring adhesive is remarkably similar to that of apply tiling adhesive, though you do need to consider a few factors prior to installation, which we’ll overview in this section.
Here are some of the advantages you can benefit from when gluing your new floor:
Gives you a solid feel to the floor (floating can feel spongy)
Massively reduces chance of developing squeaky floor boards
In most insurance policies, a fully bonded floor classes as structural and is on the building insurance, whereas floated floors are seen as temporary and need to be declared on your contents insurance.
It more secure than floating
Reduces Excessive movement of the floor
Can be a more cost effective solution when compared to using specialist UFH underlays and the requirement tongue and groove adhesive.
Here at The Solid Wood Flooring Company we’ve worked out to develop our own lvkang MS floor adhesive. This product is only available through ourselves and works perfectly with all wood floors including parquet, bamboo, solid and engineered boards.

Before you fit your floor you must always check the moisture content of the room you’re fitting in. According to BS8201:2011 which is the standard your floor just be fitted to, the maximum moisture content of subfloor must be less than 2%. You must also not fit a wood floor in rooms where the relative humidity is not within 35-55%. You can check these levels by using a Hygrometer. For more information on subfloors please see: Suitable Subfloors.
Use our MS Flooring Adhesive with a trowel. This is so you can easily, evenly spread the adhesive on the sub floor before fixing the boards down. Using this method, small undulations in the floor will be covered and you’ll achieve maximum surface adhesion.
If the subfloor’s concrete, it must have a moisture content of less than 2%. The floorboards must also be unpacked and laid out before you start to fit. This is so you can see the colour variation in the wood, as you select each board individually as youstart to glue. MS Polymer adhesives are flexible and dry like a hard rubber. They will also cure from moisture in the air so the floor can be walked on after roughly 24 hours.
